Sofia Zorian - Feeling

My recap of OFF Festival is in Polish only, so to cut long story short: it was total disaster if you went for headliners (most of them pulled off at the last moment) and very rewarding experience if you wanted to discover obscure world music, if you are shoegaze fan or soul music lover. Quite exhausting, too, especially journey back home with no headphones and phone charger. One thing kept me alive on that day: realization that the most gorgeous female singer I've seen in ages (I know the purpose of this blog is to judge music, not looks, but it's just calling spade a spade) liked my photo of Lush and followed my Instagram account.

Relacja: OFF Festival 2016

3 in 1: Prince "I Would Die 4 U" covers - White Lies, Hotel Apache, Electrogenic

Electrogenic

It may be the most pointless post in recent history of Pop Goes The Blog, but stupid saying "third time lucky" always works in my life, so here we go.

July music recommendations: Alpha Six Romeo, Amit Buium, SkyDive, We Are Magnetic

 Amit Buiun
July goes on, weather on my side of Baltic is pathetic, workload is so heavy I have time to pay attention only to my new Twitter followers (with one notable exception: see below). It's not without merit: thanks to my professional activities I will be coming back to Warsaw in September. I want it to be permanent solution this time. Hope it will improve my contacts with some of You. For a while, let's enjoy the music!

Must listen: Paideia, Kites With Lights, Marsheaux

Marsheaux

Sometimes, if music strikes you the right way, you don't know how to express why do you like that particular tune that much but you want to share the object of your awe anyway.

The best shoegaze/dream pop of 2016...so far!

 Yumi Zouma

Wikipedia definition of "shoegazing" goes like that: "the style typified by the blurring of component musical parts—typically significant guitar distortion, feedback and obscured vocals—into indistinguishable "walls of sound"[...]The term was often used contemporaneously with "dream pop".

Acts to Watch - Salt Ashes

I'm trying not to throw such comparisons left and right (they can be backhanded compliments after all), but don't you agree that voice of Brighton girl Veiga Sanchez is pure sex? If you have such a tembre like singer recording under the alias Salt Ashes, even shopping list feels like I Feel Love. Fittingly, her songs channel the spirit of the golden days of disco. The self-titled album that will be out in less than one week (you can preorder!) will be full of legitimate bangers like If You Let Me Go, Somebody and Raided.

Client Liaison - World of Our Love

Are we sure Miami is American city?

This one is already one month old but I just have to live up to the hype of 'music to watch wombats by' from time to time.

Bands to watch: Sexy Suicide

I can't even express how glad was I to finally see my favorite Polish band/duo Sexy Suicide in action! It was on 3 June in Warsaw-Praga club Hydrozagadka.
