Bands to watch: Dream Lake

Looks like I knew about Swedish duo Dream Lake already in 2014, soon after the release of their eponymous EP.
I had to have my mind elsewhere though, because I can recall now only a discovery of Midnight Sun in the late summer of the year that comes to a close now. It may be their best so far, although in my book it's a draw with poppy CrystalsIsabella Svärdstam and Niklas Willar Lidholm their first album Lux on 24th November. It's full of cinematic dream pop in many flavors (cf. folky Blueness of the Night). I'm not knowledgeable enough to decide if there is something like "Scandinavian school od dream pop" but it's hard not to sense kinship with Postiljonen oeuvre. You can expect them in my year-end charts but I can't tell now if in singles' round-up, album one or both...
