Great Escape by San Francisco group The Y Axes (Alexi Rose Belchere - vocal, Devin Nelson - guitar/vocals/synths, Jack Sundquist - bass, Nick Schneider - drums) is very emotional. Think of the better version of Paramore's Decode (no, that's not a criticism). It stands out even in the midst of fierce competition from the other female fronted indie rock bands like excellent Twin River, Hot Spoke or Night Talks. Another teaser Monster makes me wait for the album Umbra (due November 26th) even more.
